Price: £500 from Sound Control in Sheffield, England. Features: Good controls, easily accessible. 2 tone and 2 volume controls (1 for each pickup) and double cutaway for easiest upper fret access on any guitar. 2 open humbuckers, classic Gibson nitrocellulose finish, flawless. (Rating: 10 out of 10) Sound: The 490r and 490t are very powerful pickups. When used with my Vox, they're just right for classic rock and what not. But with the Marshall there's just a bit too much treble, causing me to turn the tone controls down, which is quite handy for a treble boost for some solos. (Rating: 9 out of 10) Quality: Excellently hand-built in Nashville, USA. No flaws, well setup. (Rating: 10 out of 10) Reliability: No problems yet, had it 6 months, I've had it setup to my taste, and had the pickups altered a bit to stop them from wobbling. (Rating: 8 out of 10) Overall: A great guitar for the money! A no frills SG, with lovely sound. A very versatile instrument perfect for me! Try one! Total user(s) rating = 9.3 out of 10
