Around £100
Features:
Uses patented TransTube technology, 3-band EQ, spring reverb, tape/CD input, headphone socket, 8" Blue Marvel speaker.
Construction:
A chunky beast. Feels more substantial than a lot of small practise amps. The handle is reinforced with metal attachments which makes it easy to carry (it weighs in at around a stone).
Sound:
The two switchable channels (clean and lead) both offer versatility. The distortion is controlled by pre- and post-knobs and is perfect for rocking out, although the EQ needs tweaking to calm it down if you're after a bluesy crunch. It is acheivable, but you have to play about for a bit. For a practise amp its sustain is very good too.The clean channel has a tendency to be a little clinical, but again, a little tweaking has a positive effect.
Noise Pollution Level:
The Blazer 158 can scream and shout with the best of them.
Verdict:
Feature packed. The tape/CD input works very well. Ideal for jamming along to your favourite tracks.
