In The Head Of A Dreamer is the debut release from the Danish based band Mary.

Singer/songwriter and guitarist Marie Ingerslev and her talented band create dreamy, yet melancholic compositions. They are very broad in their style, bringing together songs from several different genres of music to produce a well balanced and flowing album. Mary's music is simply beautiful and a very eclectic mix of folk acoustic ballads and new age indie rock/pop songs with a smooth jazzy feel.

Marie's lyrical abilities come through on this record to guide the listener though her thoughts of meaning and beliefs about life and death. It is obvious that her work is the accomplishment of years of writing and performing her own material.

The band has played many large gigs around the world to a great reception. And now Mary is ready to break into the UK's mainstream music scene!

Fans of jazz and mellow pop rock will not be disappointed with this. It would especially suit those who enjoy entertaining to stylish and refreshing music. A recommended album.

The band line-up:
Vocals and guitars - Marie Ingerslev
Rhodes, keys and strings - Kenneth Hansen
Bass and double bass - Thommy Anderson
Drums, keys and strings - Kalle Mathiesen
Saxophone and bass clarinet - guess soloist, Torben Snekkestad

Marie plays Takamine and Ibanez guitars throughout the entire album and occasionally uses the Boss ME-50 effects board. And with her kind permission you can listen to an excerpt of our favourite song above!
