E-mail Print PDF
Ben Westwood - Keep DreamingBen Westwood releases his debut album entitled Keep Dreaming.

Already dubbed as the 'British Jack Johnson' by some critics, singer-songwriter Ben Westwood has released his debut album Keep Dreaming, filled with upbeat, acoustic vibes.

Track listing:

1. Stay with me tonight
2. Summer's coming back again
3. Water
4. Tonight
5. Sucking on a mango
6. She's never coming down
7. Dream
8. Healing man
9. Cut loose
10. Drifter
11. She

Keep Dreaming's title and mood is in deliberate contrast to these troubled times and guaranteed to cheer you up.

The album's 11 original tracks include beach anthem Summer's coming back again, the endearing Stay with me tonight, the laid back chill-out Dream, and an amusing ode to tropical fruit, Sucking on a mango.

Summer's coming back again has even been used by south coast resort Eastbourne, Ben Westwood's home town, to get everyone in holiday mood.

Ben Westwood comments: “Music should be created primarily to make you feel better. Folk is the F word for some people – they see an acoustic guitar and expect self-indulgent protest music. But I think we've all had enough doom and gloom. We need more optimism and that's what this album is about.

Keep Dreaming was recorded in England and Ecuador, South America. Ben is also a travel writer and divides his time between the two countries. The resulting sound is an eclectic mix of folk, rock, jazz, blues, soul and reggae.

Ben Westwood lists his main influences as The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Police, Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz and Coldplay.

Keep Dreaming is available online through Tunecore, Amazon and Emusic. For further information visit www.myspace.com/benwestwoodmusic
