Hi Friends hope I have not posted to many of these...But it helps to understand them I assure you.


Here are some chord formula's see if you can build some of your own
Major Triad 1 3 5

Minor Triad 1 b3 5

Diminished Triad 1 b3 b5

Augmented Triad 1 3 #5

Major 7 1 3 5 7

Minor 7 1 b3 5 b7

Dominant 7 1 3 5 b7

Half Diminished 7 1 b3 b5 b7

Diminished 7 1 b3 b5 bb7

Augmented 7 1 3 #5 b7

Suspended 4 1 4 5 b7


Whatever key just write down that line and select the notes from the formula

E.G
1 2 3 4 5 6 7

Key of "G" G A B C D E F#

The 1 2 3 etc should line up over the top of the notes starting with 1-G 2=A

So the formula for say Gminor7 = 1, b3, 5, b7 So notes are G, Bb, D, F#7
