what band do you think has the most talent? personaly i think either the Foo Fighters or Primus

depends on what time period. of today's alternative rock bands the foo fighters have loads of talent and they are one of the few bands that I like that are considered "Popular". There are a lot of extrememly talented underground bands out there but there are also a lot of horrible "pop rock" bands out there.

but like i said, it all depends on what time period you are talking about. Lynyrd Skynyrd are two of my favorite talented bands that are both from about the same time period and they blow out a lot of bands from today. You can't very well beat Robert Plan, Jimmy Page, Ronnie Van Zant, and Garry Rossington. I would much rather listen to Freebird over and over than a whole album of greenday...

If you wanna base it on what band is comprised of the most talented musicians, I'd personally have to say Phish. Although they're no longer together, they had some of the most talented players to ever pick up instruments.

In my opinion (at the moment anway!) It'll have to be the 2001 Steve Vai Band "Live At The Astoria London". The band plays at such a standard it's unbelievable (try and find the DVD, it's well worth the 3+hour watch!)

Dream Theatre is really talented. I love the way John Petrucci plays the guitar. He is amazing to watch live.

I have seen videos of him playing.... I have never really seen him play live.

I agree, Dream Theater has great talent.

I am a huge fan of metallica and I would definitely have to agree with you on that one. They are extremely talented.
