Which are your most overrated bands or artists? For me, it is easily Pink Floyd and Iron Maiden. Pink Floyd I never really got in to, and they use too much "other" electronic sound for my likes. Iron Maiden is just a heavy metal band that I overhear so much that they don't seem to be anything special.

I think Pink Floyd may be overrated within musicians preferences, but among the non-musicians i feel they are underrated I personally don't feel any bands are particularly overrated and try to keep an open mind about bands, though i can't always follow that thinking

The only band I've found that I truely think is overrated would be Green Day. Alot of people, especially in my age group, like them more than life itself. I personally don't like them, considering that they are political, and I don't wanna listen to music and get political views shoved into my face. The other thing that bugs me is that their considered musical geniuses.. I've seen one of their concerts on video, the kind where it is ALWAYS on the band, I wasn't too impressed.

Well, reason being I think Pink Floyd is overrated is most likely because I live in a small town, and everyone here loves Pink Floyd. And I dont think theyre that great for they are overplayed and such, I just got nulled out of them.

Pink Floyd isnt overrated but Iron Maiden is. --Im not a huge fan of Floyd either only because it isnt really the genre of music that I enjoy listening to... Maybe genre isnt the word for it but I do know that they arent overrated.

Pink Floyd is my favorite band ever . Some people may find them hard to get into, however. Id say Green Day is kinda overrated. I like them and everything, but they are just a little too popular

Actually, it may be due to the fact Im not into Pink Floyd and their music, so that might be why I think theyre overrated. But thats just me.

well, I actually agree with you that Pink Floyd is a bit overrated. I enjoy listening to them once in a while, and they are talented. But everytime someone says they listen to older rock music, Pink Floyd is always one of the first bands to leave their lips, that and Zepplin but I didn't get into Zepplin as much. -Shane
