For those of you that practice and/or do live gigs, where do you play at?

I practice in my basement, and gigs I do at a local beach house, which is similiar to a bar on the lake. And sometimes at a bar just across the street as well called The Getaway.

I still live with my parents, being 16 this isn't odd. My room is on the opposite side of a particularly long house, so I can practice as late as I want un-plugged without worry of waking anyone up.

I do my 'gigs' down in the city park. I don't get paid, and its really just practicing. But when someone slows down to listen I tend to start actually playing for real to try and give them a good little tune on their day off. But I'm currently in the works of trying to perform at a local cafe. They've never had live acts before, so I've first got to convince them to allow that.

I do enjoy playing outside the most, seems more refreshing and enjoyable.

It really does. I've also noticed that when I take my guitar outside after its been inside for a long time, the strings seem to be a bit crisper and it sounds better for a while.

I concur. The strings feel more lively and sharper in the outdoors of nature.
