Really, just google a search for 'guitar tabs' and that should give you a good list of sites that have some decent guitar tabs on them.

As for what to play, since you've got chords down, I suggest starting with some Jack Johnson, he mostly uses chords, as well as Johnny Cash. Try and just look at some older misc. stuff as well. After that, move up to artists with a bit more movment and odder shapes in their fingering. Such as Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Cat Stevens. Then, move to more single strumming with some chord strikes in it, Dave Matthews and John Mayer both have this in their stuff as well. You can go as far as to start looking at some solos by Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix once you get to it, and if its what you want to play. There's also some wonderful Stevie Ray Vaughn and BB King stuff to check out once you get up there.

From the music I have experience with, some songs I'd suggest:

Beginner:
Sitting, Waiting, Wishing - Jack Johnson
Romanza - Unknown Artist (this is a simple fingerpicking song)
Song That Jane Likes - Dave Matthews Band

Intermediate:
Stay or Leave - Dave Matthews
So Much To Say - Dave Matthews Band
Why Georgia (intro) - John Mayer
Lady D'abanville - Cat Stevens
Ring Of Fire - Johnny Cash
Hurt - Johnny Cash

Advanced:
The Stone - Dave Matthews Band (mostly when you sing as well)
Neon - John Mayer (good for single picking)

Expert:
Stream - Tim Reynolds (its nuts)
Voodoo Child - Jimi Hendrix
Little Wing - Stevie Ray Vaughn

That's just some really simple chart to work off of I think. I will say that I can't play the last three I listed, but I've taken more than a few licks at them, and I understand the difficulty behind them. The rest of the songs are simply ones that I know how to play and I'm judging off of what I know of beginner players and the difficulty of them. These are just some of my favorite artists really.

But the BEST advice anyone can give you, is to look up tabs for songs that you really like, and work on them.

P.S.
The reason I have some as Dave Matthews and others as Dave Matthews Band is due to his solo CD.

The best website, (That I think) for tabs of any sort would be:

www.guitartabs.cc

Check out some of the songs Mako had their, you're bound to find something. And my add ons to his list would be:

Oasis- Wonderwall
Lynyrd Skynyrd- Sweet Home Alabama
Howie Day- Collide

(Unless of course, you know these already. )

Ultimate-Guitar.com
They have a bunch of tabs and its hard to not find a band there that you know. Any tabs by greenday are easy. A lot of AC/DC tabs are easy to

Greenday: Wake me up when september ends, when I come around, brainstew, holiday, boulevard of broken dreams...etc

-i would start off with those tabs first just because I am sure that you recognize them and they are extremely easy and fun to play for a beginner.
