Well, my amp blew up... 5 Years, 7 Months ago

At band practice rocking out at full volume... and then nothing. It didn't 'blow' up, it just died. The speaker fried itself. I plugged it into the other guitarists amp through the booster output and it worked fine, so the speaker has died. It's a vox Brian May special. Do you think vox will give me a new one, or fix this one for me? I'm worried that if they see it, they'll see that I dropped it once-upon a time. About 3 months ago, and they may say that they won't because it's this that is the problem, evnen thoguh it's worked fine since. What d'you guys/gals think?

Wow, too bad... Have you looked at the clips (spade??) that are on the ends of the speaker wires? Cos if one has come off slightly (dislodged by dropping it) it wont work... Happened to my amp ages ago and I thought I needed a new one, but my Dad had a look and just put the wire back on tighter and it worked again. Just a suggestion anyway.

make sure to check you didn't just blow a fuse also, the overload may've caused the fuse to blow making power not run to the speaker

Got my new speaker for it... Back to its former beauty now! And I got a new marshall which I have reviewed on this site... find it on the amp reviews...
