Hey, my name is Ethan, I live in Minnesota US, I am 16, and have been playing guitar for bout a year and a half. I have a Peavey V-Type (NOT A FLYING V DESIGN EVEN THOUGH THE NAME INSISTS) with active EMG 85/81 pickups, and grover rhumatic tuners. I also have a completely modified Squier Affinity series strat, and a Hohner acoustic.

ANNNNNDDDD, here's the story of the strat: I took the pickguard off, and made one out of an oak ply wood bout 3/8 inches thick and inlayed it into the body so it was flush with the body, and routed a chanel 1/4 inch wide and 3/8 inches deep around the whole pick guard (except for between the neck pocket and the guard) and used wood filler to smooth everything out, then i sanded the paint off and will paint the body a metalic red, and the pickguard metalic black. Oh ya, i got mini grover locking tuners to, and will soon pick up noisless strat pickup set for it as well. That must be confusing. I will put pictures up as soon as i am done.

sorry for talking your ears off.

Yeah, welcome aboard. Actually, I'm quite new to this forum myself and I feel surrounded by youth. It seems like almost everyone is around 16 and here I sit at 62. Oh well! Y'all have a lot of time ahead of you to learn, master and enjoy guitars.
