Electric Guitars - 2006/06/07 21:06 Might as well jump start this thread on Electric guitars. What electric guitars do you own? I own just one, and that would be an Epiphone Les Paul Standard. Im quite pleased with it and have no problems with it either. I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy.

Re:Electric Guitars - 2006/06/09 20:59 My main axe is my Gibson SG special in Wine red. The nicest axe I've evr played, I prefer it's chunkier neck than the standard, and there is a lot more tonal variety; it can be a really bright sounding guitar, and also a really muddy thing. I love that it can crank out the woman-tone I want! Yummy! My gear:
Gibson SG
ESP Explorer
ESP MII
Vox Brian May Special
Marshall AVT100
Eric Clapton Crossroads pedal
Dunlop Fuzz Face
Dunlop Wah-wah

Re:Electric Guitars - 2006/06/10 00:35 I guess my acoustic guitar doubles as an electric. Well, I know it does since its and acoustic/electric. It's the same guitar as I posted in the other forum, the CC-057 Ovation Celebrity. But I will say, this thing rocks plugged in. I love the effects that I can mess around with on this thing. It ALMOST makes me want to focus on electric guitar... almost... but not quite... "What a motley world we live in," said the blind-man to the fool.

My Gear:
Epiphone Chet Atkins SST Studio Acoustic/Electric (Ebony)
Ovation CC-057 Celebrity Acoustic/Electric (Red)
Crate GX15R Electric Guitar Amplifier
Crate CA15-Cimarron Acoustic Guitar Amplifier

Haha, while I do have both an acoustic-electric and electric guitar, I dont show nearly as much love to the electric as I do the acoustic-electric.

Re:Electric Guitars - 2006/06/21 21:43 I play a 2002 Mexican Strat with a cocobuno neck, sliver hardware, and a Sage Green Metalic paint job. It is very versatile, I can go from blues to punk in a matter of seconds.

Re:Electric Guitars - 2006/07/15 03:07 I have a Gibson Les Paul Standard and a Fender American Highway-1 Stratocaster

i prefer the gibson in most cases, but will break out the fender on various occasions when i need a varied tone or are playing a long gig that requires a lightweight guitar for your shoulder's sake
