Hey guys just thought I'd ask you about the adverts on the site.

They are known as Google Ads (Adsense) the pictures and text ads. When someone clicks an advert, GuitarTools.co.uk gets a small cut of Google's profits - from the low end of 5 cents to upto $1(+) for some of those referals like firefox...

Anyway, recently I did a survey with the people I bought my domain name off (ie GuitarTools.co.uk from 123-reg.co.uk) and finally they gave me ?50 of Google Adsense vouchers!

So I have set it up. This now means we have ?50 worth of targeted (free) traffic! I submitted a text advert and an image (below, what do you think? It's a bit different but should draw in a crowd!)

I'll probably do some more variations on the ads and pics to keep it intereting and bring in clicks!

you should have guitartools.co.uk written somewhere on there so the website name is remembered

Yeah I know, I couldn't fit it on that one well enough... The next one I will though! What do you think?

Also, don't click "too" many of the one's on this site as apparently google has a bit of a go at you! And I could get banned!

It looks pretty good. I agree that the site name should be on there, but I understand about making room for things. I use to make banners for people's sigs a few years ago.

Cool, sounds fun that Shane! I'm still kinda a novice when it comes to making banners but I pride myself on having a good eye for design (mainly in the real wold as using computers to get exactly what you want is time consuming and often difficult!)
