Click To Enlarge "I bought it so I could have an amp louder than 10 watts for gigs,
and for that Marshall tone. It replaced my Brian May special amp, and fits in with my setup perfectly."
Price:
£305 (incl. P&P) www.gak.co.uk
Features:
Great effects. Delay, reverb, flange, chorus, the lot! Footswitch included. 3 footswitchable channels, OD1 OD2 and Clean, with separate gain and volume controls. (Rating: 9 out of 10)
Sound:
The tubes give it that smooth tone, but the treble does seem to increase as you get it louder, gig level. OD1 is classic Marshall drive, OD2 is for metal and whatnot. The clean is beautiful, saturated tube tone and no twangy noises. (Rating: 8 out of 10)
Quality:
Excellently built in Milton Keynes, England. No flaws, and looks very cool! (Rating: 10 out of 10)
Reliability:
No problems yet! Only had it 2 weeks... 10/10 for now.
Overall:
This amp is perfect for Humbucker guitars. I tried my Tele through it, but only the neck pickup sounded nice enough to be digested by the ears. A good amp, maybe a tad too expensive, but it's nice. (Rating: 8 out of 10)
